And I put "Catcher in The Rye" on my borrowed list. But I know you wanted to read it, I think it was you anyway. So if you want it to have, I'll be glad to give it to you. I haven't read it yet at all.

Yeah, it was me (unless someone else wanted to too, I don't know). I just want to see what all the fuss is about.

I guess I should also say that I haven't read The Well of Lost Plots yet, so no one can have it till I've inhaled it...which will take 2 days tops.

Ok, shall I send it to you?

Yes, you are. I sent you an email with the address I have for you, just to check if it's the right one.

How do I denote that someone has my book checked out?

I would just put "borrowed" in italics or something and maybe the date you sent it out beside so people have a clue to how long it will be gone.

So, do you want the book? Answer me, dammit. heh.

The Jasper Fforde books, why do you strongly recommend them? What are they about?

And what is Murders Prefer Blondes about?

The Jasper Fforde books are just really absurd. They're set in a parallel universe were the Crimean War has been raging for hundreds of years, they've figure out how to clone extinct species in take home kits (didos are the pet of choice) and most of the people are classic literature groupies. Fforde just has an engaging way of drawing you into this screwed up world.

Murderers Prefer Blondes is set in the 50's and is about a frustrated mystery writer named Paige Turner (unfortunate). But to write her mystery she has to live through one first. It's really kinda cool, because it's the age of beatniks and playboys and it's just fun to read.

Oooo, those sound interesting! The Jasper Fforde ones especially, I really like authors that invent strange universes like that.

I have to get my own list up soon...I know I have a bunch, some of them might even be like those.

Fforde was a screenwriter and gave it up to write novels. He has a sort of movie mentality about it still though. I really love his books. I even ordered the last one was amazon.co.uk just so I could have it.
